We have a great opportunity for driven individuals who are looking to start a career in Logistics to join our B&Q site in Doncaster.

About the role

You will be working in our warehouse and duties include:

•Ensure all orders are picked and despatched to the customer’s requirements.

•Receive and put away stock in a timely and orderly manner with the use of MHE.

•Load and despatch orders as instructed in line with given targets and key performance indicators.

•Ensure that any issues such as failures, shorts or re-books are escalated to senior management at the earliest opportunity.

•Ensure warehouse procedural controls and processes are maintained in line with the health & safety and good working practices.

You will be working 40 hours per week (including paid break), rotating days / later (6am-2pm, 2pm-10pm) with the potential for a fulltime job if successful on completion of your apprenticeship.

The Apprenticeship lenght is 15 months.

What we offer

A completive salary (£9.20 per hour for 6 months and £9.58 thereafter), attendance bonus draw, subsidised canteen onsite, onsite parking and onsite gym.

About The Apprenticeship

Through the Supply Chain Warehouse Operative Apprenticeship you will be observed/ taught daily activities including taking deliveries, checking for damaged/missing items, storing goods, moving stock by various methods, picking/packing orders, loading goods for dispatch, maintaining stock records and documentation, and cleaning. This will include the safe use of a range of equipment, machinery and vehicles, all relevant to their role and setting. This could comprise of mechanical racking systems, materials handling equipment (MHE) or forklift trucks.
