Role Overview

An opportunity has arisen for experienced Operations Team Leaders to join the First Line Management Team at Hams Hall. The Operations Team Leader is responsible for leading a large team in all areas of the operation to successfully achieve targets and KPI’s and overall customer satisfaction.

Shit pattern: Must be prepared to work shifts across 24hrs/7days although currently operating 24hrs/6.5 days.

How will you contribute?

  • Reporting to the Operations Shift Manager
  • Responsible for the day to day control of a large dynamic automated warehouse operation ensuring that  all Safe Systems of work and work instructions are adhered to.
  • Responsible for the management, development and motivation of a team of team members & temporary labour to cope with demanding customer volumes.
  • Responsible for the surpassing of all Key Performance Indicators and delivering a high level of customer service and ensuring targets are met.
  • Responsible for the continual improvement of process/methods of the sites operating practices
  • To liaise closely with all teams on site to ensure operational plans meet customer service.

  • To be able to demonstrate the ability to fully utilise and co-ordinate manpower needs.
  • Must be able to demonstrate excellent leadership and team building skills.
  • Must be an effective communicator and able to develop good working relationships with all levels of personnel across all teams.
  • Must be able to demonstrate a proactive approach to raise service levels and ensure clarity of goals
  • Applicants should have experience of leading and developing a team of people, with a proven track record for delivery consistently high operational performance. Experience of shared user sites would be an advantage.
