Role Profile

Wincanton are recruiting LGV Lorry Drivers working nights to work for our prestigious clients operating out of Aldermeads, Somerset.

  • £27,976.53 per annum
  • £2.37 Night premium paid between 20:00 - 06:00
  • Working 5 nights on, 3 nights off
  • Shifts will be 10.5 hours per day but on occasions there may be a requirement for some additional overtime
  • Start times between 14:00 - 19:00

You will primarily be based out of our Aldermeads site in Wincanton collecting and delivering preloaded tankers to and from various locations. .

Key Responsibilities:

  • Checking delivery schedules and noting any special instructions
  • Carrying out safety checks before you set off
  • Travelling to the delivery site
  • Updating paperwork and making sure relevant staff sign for deliveries
  • Keeping truck clean at all times

Experience and Qualifications

  • Must hold a valid HGV LGV Class 1 (C+E) licence
  • Must hold a valid Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (DCPC Card)
  • Must hold a Digital Tachograph card
  • Must not have more than 6 points on your licence
  • Minimum 6 months Class 1 driving experience preferred
  • Liquid load experience preferred
  • Night working experience preferred
