How will you contribute?

  • Ensure conduct and behaviour to be compliant with Wincanton Health & Safety legislation and guidelines.
  • Work in a team environment.
  • Operate customer & Wincanton IT systems as required.
  • Complete all necessary paperwork accurately.
  • A range of duties to support the operational efficiency and general housekeeping and hygiene standards of the warehouse and site.
  • Ensure time and attendance within Company set standards.
  • Flexibility - overtime requirements.
  • Ensure that any issues are escalated to management.
  • Carry out operational tasks as requested in order to achieve departmental and site objectives. 
  • React to change due to operational and client requirements and carrying out duties in a professional and timely fashion. 
  • Ensure the correct handling of all client products is carried out at all stages within the facility. 
  • Complete all relevant documentation as required in order to provide a quality service to our client and, therefore, contributing to greater operational efficiency.

  • PC literate and numerate with good communication skills, including a minimum of a basic understanding of Microsoft Office as required.
  • Ability to work as part of a team but also independently and to show initiative. 
  • Possess a positive attitude with a keen and enthusiastic approach.
  • Ability to use IT Systems in accordance with training provided.
  • Attention to detail required to assume quality checking/quality control.
  • Ability to train others to a high standard.
  • Compliance with manual handling procedures.

This position will include shift and weekend working, this will consist of early and lates or overnight work.
