Role Overview

Based within our Llanelli Site, you will play a significant part in ensuring that the services we provide are fit for purpose, consistent and ultimately meets both our external & internal quality & compliance standards.

The role requires an experienced Quality Lead/ Manager with great understanding of every aspect of quality, to map the existing processes, identify any potential gaps, write SOP, corrective and preventive actions, root cause analysis, non – conformances, etc.

This will also include auditing quality of the suppliers and therefore will involve travelling.

A successful Candidate will be joining Wincanton at our Contract whom we partner, with very high-quality standards that need to be monitored and improved constantly!

You will, therefore, have a great understanding of 9001:2008 and, ideally, ISO 9001:2015

The role will create a good opportunity for operationally experienced Quality Manager/ Lead Auditor that wants to develop their career further!

DBS clearance will need to be gained and therefore vigorous pre- employment vetting will form part of the recruitment process.

How will you contribute?

  • Ensuring that an effective quality management system is established, implemented and maintained at all levels.
  • Providing an independent channel of communication on quality matters, initiating necessary action to resolve deficiencies and ensuring satisfactory solutions have been achieved.
  • Mapping internal processes in order to ensure business continuity and identify areas for improvement.
  • Ensuring audits are undertaken in accordance with an established audit schedule and that any adverse findings (including those raised by others) are communicated to all relevant parties & are closed out in a timely manner.
  • Establish quality agreements and undertake quality audit Inspections for critically identified suppliers.
  • Providing site training/mentoring on the specific requirements of the quality management system. 
  • Manage non-conformance, corrective and preventative actions to a successful & timely closure.
  • Continuous improvement activities.
  • Support the operation, to maintain the required standards, whilst understanding any operational challenges that may arise, which could have an impact on them.


What will you bring?

  • Demonstration of knowledge and practical application of quality control activities.
  • Standard Operating Procedure design and implementation.
  • ISO 9001 Lead Auditor Trained.
  • A proven track record of managing quality with customer facing responsibilities.
  • Proven use and capability of root cause analysis.
  • Have excellent attention to detail.
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Be able to produce clear & concise reports / graphical data, which demonstrates audit & action plan status, to both the site senior management team, customers & external bodies.
  • Have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications, particularly Excel, Word & PowerPoint
