Role Profile

We are looking for an experienced Class 2 HIAB Driver, brick grab training can be provided, to join our team working on our Wickes contract in Plymouth  

  • Salary £26,000 per annum
  • Starting between 06:00 – 07:00
  • Contracted to 2028 annualised hours
  • Working 5 out of 7 days including some Saturdays

You will be delivering construction and home improvement products to customers using a HIAB/brick grab to off load the products to small commercial units and residential properties around the area.

Due to the nature of these deliveries Town/City driving will be required

What we expect from our drivers:

  • You will be responsible for the accurate and timely movement of multidrop and direct delivery of our customer’s products.
  • Using a Brick grab with remote C1+E lorry loader license to unload products at destinations
  • Adhering to safe working practices to ensure the safety of yourself and others at all times.
  • A flexible approach to working start times as dictated by the needs of the business.
  • Complying with all relevant legislation in line with Drivers Hours and Working Time Directive requirements.

 

Experience and Qualifications

  • The applicant must hold a Class 2 licence
  • Be willing to undertake training to gain a brick grab with remote C1+E lorry loader license
  • Must hold a valid in date CPC licence
  • Must hold a valid in date Digi/Taco Card
  • Must have no more than 6 points on licence
  • Home Delivery experience.
  • Customer facing awareness.
  • Excellent timekeeper and able to work unsupervised.
  • Enthusiastic and reliable with a commitment to delivering 1st class customer service.
  • Good communication skills and a flexible can do attitude to work.
  • Must have a good geographical knowledge.
