Transport Shift Manager

A vacancy has arisen for a Transport Shift Manager, based at the Stonehouse Depot operating on our Milk operation.  The role will be looking after the Stonehouse operation.

 

The Role:

 

  • Reporting to the Regional Operations Manager, the role will be responsible for the control of the collection, delivery and transhipment of the milk within the 4 sites that it encompasses
  • The working week is operated on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern (12 hours 06:00-18:00) over 365 days per year
  • This will involve managing the operation and implementing solutions to problems that occur during the shift and ensuring that the operation adheres to all compliance laws & regulations
  • The role includes the collation and data entry of paperwork.  This incorporates the daily completion of KPI spreadsheets and reports for our main customer Muller.  Furthermore, in-house work such as tacho and timesheet analysis / mix telematics and control is also required
  • Dynamic problem-solving capabilities is a must

 

The Person:

 

  • The successful candidate must be innovative and self motivated, capable of working in a high- pressured environment and as part of a depot team
  • You should be well organised, have good interpersonal skills and an ability to effect change where required
  • Experience in milk operations preferable but not essential
  • Applicants should also ideally process good administrative and PC skills
  • You must be proactive
  • You must have a driving licence and a LGV would be advantageous
  • A CPC would be preferable although not essential
