Role Overview

A fantastic opportunity for a Bond, Stock & Admin Manager has arisen in one of our sites in Greenford. Reporting to the Duty & VAT Manager. The Bond Manager (BM) will be responsible for managing the site bond team ensuring that all HMRC customs & excise compliance requirements are met. The BM will also take overall responsibility for the delivery of training to all Bond Team members and ensure that all intake, warehouse and removal processes are up to date. This is a critical role, as the BM is responsible for all day to day customs & excise transactions and processes on site and must ensure that the site remains HMRC compliant.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure all inbound and outbound movements are processed correctly through Manhattan / Langdon DMS / EMCS
  • Manage site Bond Team
  • Ensure that Middlewich complies with all the requirements of HMRC public Notice 197
  • Ensure that the Bond Team check & process all duty payments, ensuring the correct duty and VAT declarations are made to HMRC via ATWD
  • Ensure that daily reconciliations are performed between Manhattan & Langdon DMS to ensure the stock holding on both systems are aligned.  (SR01, 02, 03 and 04)
  • Monthly W1 warrant creation and submission to HMRC
  • Monitor Langdon DMS daily for outstanding transactions and errors
  • Manage stocktakes and results 

Skills, Experience & Attributes

  • Previous Bond operational experience
  • Previous Management experience
  • Full understanding of HMRC bonded warehouse process, understanding of warehouse operations, and the ability to manage the balance between day-to-day operation & ad-hoc tasks
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Manhattan and Langdon system super user
