The role:

A vacancy has arisen for this role in our Transport Department based at the Coop Lea Green depot.

Main aspects of the role are as follows;

  • Support the Health and Safety Officer / Lead Assessor with administrative tasks. With a view to reducing personal injuries year on year while providing support functions for the training team.
  • Manage daily reports and updates in regard to STAR reporting and Rivo Safeguard entries.
  • Ensure that record management is kept to a high standard.
  • Attend and facilitate monthly / weekly meetings including room booking and minute taking. Minutes must be issued to relevant parties in a timely manner.
  • Undertake Wincanton Health and Safety courses in order to develop understanding and legislative requirements to protect the Wincanton business.
  • Record and collate information regarding daily audits.
  • Establish working relationships with the claims management team (Chippenham) in order to ensure that all incident investigation documentation is provided and all queries addressed in accordance to deadlines.
  • Provide support for developing incentives and initiatives.
  • Support Health, Safety, & Training communication campaigns.
  • Record and monitor absence due to work place injuries.
  • Plan weekly, monthly risk assessment requirements and communicate to all relevant departments. 
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with depot teams to ensure the swift resolution of any issues and partnership working between risk assessors and the Transport Operation.
  • Collaborate with risk assessor colleagues and stakeholders within the depot so that resources and best practice are shared throughout the Transport Operation.
