Continuous Improvement Manager

This role will be vital in harnessing the appetite for Continuous Improvement (CI) in Lichfield, and driving forward a culture in which “change is the status quo”.  Given that Lichfield is part of a network, the scope of the role is not just limited to CI within our 4 walls. Rather, the successful candidate will work with stakeholders across the network.  

  • Support the Assistant General Manager and General Manager in their responsibility to deliver the CI pipeline
  • Harness the ideas and energies on site to identify and channel the opportunities
  • Provide information and spot trends through data analysis and actively share this with the colleagues and leadership team.  Use the information found to drive continuous service improvements
  • Identify, lead and take ownership of driving and facilitating improvement initiatives
  • Champion a culture of improvement on site, advocating the benefits of improving the warehouse to all levels of the organisation
  • Work with finance teams for the validation of costs for proposed CI initiatives, provision of commercial information and reporting of those initiatives
  • Mentor and coach other members of the site team on CI
  • Work with all stakeholders within the site and wider network to ensure they understand, are supported, and are held to account for delivering CI
  • Champion education and deployment of Lean methodologies and CI
  • Take full ownership of CI projects from drafting of CAPEX requests to completion of CI initiatives in line with contract governance standards
