Role Overview

Permanent role – 12 hour shifts 4 on 4 off – 40 hours per week Shunter / Tug Driver - £22,000 per annum

Class 2 Shunter/Tug Driver required for our contract based at Magna Park, Milton Keynes.

You will be required to complete shunting work around the yard transporting various items, and helping in warehouse when required.

This is a permanent position, working any 5 from 7 days, 07:00 to 15:00 / 11:00 to 19:00 on  rotating shifts.  Working 2 weekends on and 2 weekends off.

  • Hourly rate - £10.57 per hour
  • Salary£22,000 per annum
  • The Role:
  • To shunt trailers around site
  • 20/40/45ft containers on trailers and setting trailer jacks under containers on bays.
  • Applying safety equipment to trailers
  • Perform yard checks
  • Directing drivers to correct bays for loading
  • Trailer inspections, reporting defects
  • Site cleaning as and when required
  • To work within the guidelines of the company’s safety culture, ensuring the safety of themselves and their colleagues at all times.
  • Moving all vehicles that come on site

Successful candidate will be subject to DBS clearance and references

Experience & Qualifications

  • You must not have more than 6 points on your licence
  • Class 2 Shunting experience, minumum 3 months
  • Reliable and self-motivated
  • Flexible approach to hours of work
  • Able to perform in a team environment
