Role Profile

Now is an exciting time to join our team of Drivers supporting on our contract with Cormar Carpets. Working 50 hours per week, the role will operate Sunday to Thursday nights starting approximately at 1900, however a flexible approach is needed as variations may be required by the operation and the customer.

Duties will include trunking to Bury and back.

Overtime - time and a half (after 50 hours).

  • You will possess a valid Class 1 driving licence not exceeding six penalty points
  • You will be required to ensure correct completion of tachographs on line with legislation and company policy/procedural requirements
  • Accountable for monitoring own driving hours in line with legislation
  • To attend any relevant training as required to ensure you remain fully equipped to perform your role effectively and to assist in the development of continuous improvement
  • To be responsible for the Health and Safety of themselves and other operatives by adhering to safe working practices and the Health & Safety to Work Act
  • To report any accident or damage to any equipment or machinery
  • This role involves a considerable amount of manual handling and is physically demanding
  • Using the drawbar to remove stock from the vehicle.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Must hold a valid Class 1 driving licence with qualification period as per Wincanton policy
  • Hold an in date Valid CPC Licence
  • Hold a valid in date Tachograph Card
  • Minimum 6 months experience preferred.
  • Drawbar experience required.
  • Will possess a positive attitude to work, and the ability to work on their own initiative to specified deadlines
  • Will be punctual and committed to the role
  • DBS check will be undertaken
